COMMUNICATION INTERN
Description
The Communication Interns will work independently and as a team to create original content about GCT’s activities to be shared across various platforms. Social media, website, blog and newsletter. Stay current on news about organization’s areas of interest: poverty, hunger, food waste, housing, homelessness, education, employment, ect.
Responsibilities

Write news-style stories for blog and newsletter

Take and edit photos and/or videos
-
Create professional social media posts
-
Aggregate news stories and statistics on GCT’s areas of interest
Required Skills
-
Strong writing, grammar and editing skills
-
Capable of handling several projects at once
-
Ability to plan time well to meet deadlines

Strong research skills
-
Proficiency in basic photo and video editing software
GRANT WRITER INTERN
Interns work independently and as a team to secure program and operational funding for GCT.
Responsibilities
-
Research grant opportunities available through foundations, corporations, and nonprofit organizations.

Compile statistical data on organization’s areas of interest: poverty, hunger, food waste, housing, homelessness, education, employment, ect.

Write grant proposals, letters of inquiries and applications.
Required Skills
